What is De-armouring?
De-armouring, as I practice it, is a gentle and profound somatic bodywork approach that helps address tension patterns, numbness, and protective layers that develop in our bodies over time.
De-armouring recognizes that our bodies store not just memories but also the protective strategies we've employed to survive difficult experiences, traumas, or unprocessed emotions. These protective patterns, while once necessary, can become obstacles to feeling fully alive, present, and connected to ourselves and others.
In these sessions, we co-create a slow, safe space without force or pressure for your body to
de-armour, combining:

The process honours your body's pace and limits. Rather than pushing through sensations, you are encouraged to stay within your "window of tolerance" while gradually expanding your capacity to feel, express, and move more freely.
This practice releases deeply held emotional and physical armouring, restoring sensitivity, vitality, and the capacity for pleasure, connection, and authenticity.

The types of sessions I offer:
Single session (3h)
Deep, immersive single sessions that allow time for thorough exploration and release.
These extended sessions provide space for the body to unwind, for emotions to surface and move through, and for integration to begin.
Ideal for those wanting to experience the work or address specific areas of armouring.
Long-term immersions
A committed journey of ongoing de-armouring work over weeks or months.
This container provides continuity and depth, allowing for layer-by-layer release and profound transformation.
Perfect for those ready to commit to a deeper process of embodiment and healing.
What to expect during a session?
I will invite you into the session space, and we will land together through a short grounding exercise.
After this, we will go through an intake conversation, in which you will turn your awareness towards what is alive in your body, share about it, and from there, we will co-create a frame that will suit your needs and capacity for the session.
De-armouring is powerful work that requires consent, clear boundaries, and a safe, professional container. That intake makes sure that you are met within this frame.
During the session, you are an active participant in your own unfolding.
You will be reminded that you can breathe deeply, stay present, and allow whatever wants to emerge, whether that's sensation, emotion, sound, or simply awareness.
I will follow your needs and longings, using trauma-informed touch and making sure that you are met in alignment with your intention.
At times, you may experience intense sensations and emotional release, as we will be approaching places and areas in your body that may have been protected or numb for years. In these moments, I will be following your pace and what feels right for your nervous system, both making sure you are consenting to feeling and releasing and also, always giving you the authority over what feels right for your nervous system.
When it is time for completion, I will leave you to rest and digest for a few minutes in your own energy, before we meet for a final check-in, setting up together a comfortable frame for you to integrate the session in the following days.
